The Liberal Democrats have held on to Hawkshead in the South Lakeland District Council elections.
David Fletcher received 412 votes and Sarah Jane Ibbetson for the Conservatives gained 305 votes.
Paul Milling for the Green Party received 55 votes.
The Liberal Democrats have also held on to Staveley-in-Westmorland, where Stan Collins polled 581 votes.
Conservative candidate Sandra Lilley polled 153 votes and Green Party candidate Rachael Milling received 72 votes.
Sheila Eccles has held on to Crooklands for the Liberal Democrats with 599 votes. Jess Alston for the Conservatives picked up 267 votes and Ko Koems for the Green Party polled 35 votes.
