CREATIVE youngsters who have shown a keen interest in an historical project are to be rewarded for their work.
Lakes School pupils Robin Amor-Train and Patrick Hopwood have made 36-inch span models of the Waterbird, the first sea plane to land on Windermere.
The boys attended the centenary celebration of the first flight of Waterbird on November 25 at Storrs Hall Hotel – and now members of the Waterbird Project will present them with books on local aviation history.
