A MAN was flown to hospital this morning (Friday) with minor back injuries after a road traffic accident on the A66.
The Great North Air Ambulance service was called to the two-car collision at 10.25am near The Sportsman's Inn, at Troutbeck, Penrith, to assist paramedics who were treating three casualties at the scene.
The Pride of Cumbria helicopter flew the man, who is thought to be in his thirties, to Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
The man is in a stable condition and his injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
