STAFF from a Lake District school had an encounter with TV presenter and Monty Python star Michael Palin at an event at Windermere’s Merewood Hotel.
Sarah Hodgson, head of the subject at John Ruskin secondary school at Coniston and teacher Rebecca Holland, met Mr Palin after he delivered a speech to the meeting in his role as the President of the Royal Geographical Society.
He posed for pictures with the pair who then presented him with a ‘Cheetah Challenge’ mug from the school.
