WINDERMERE Preparatory School’s Early Years provision has been ranked ‘outstanding’ in a recent Ofsted inspection.
The facility was judged in 14 categories and was awarded the top mark in every single area.
Inspector Sandra Williams wrote in her report that staff were ‘extremely motivated and committed’ and that children made ‘excellent progress towards their early learning goals’. The school’s ‘innovative’ and ‘colourful’ setting was also mentioned and the inspector also said she enjoyed seeing the pupils’ healthy life-style which involved climbing small trees and den building in a forest during their break-times.
Jenny Davies, leader of the Early Years department, said: “We are obviously thrilled that the hard work and dedication of all the staff has been formally recognised by Ofsted.”
