A BANK Holiday mixture of sports, games and a dog show attracted a large crowd to this year’s Dent Gala on Monday.
Organisers said they were happy with the turnout at the event, on the school field, which raised around £2,700 for Dentdale Memorial Hall.
The dog show proved to be the biggest hit with more than 30 entries in one class alone. There were also activities and stalls, children’s races and a barbecue.
Sarah Woof, chairman of Dentdale Memorial Hall Trustees, said: “It was great and the weather managed to just about stay fine for us. The dog show was popular and so were the sports. People come back year after year to take part.”
