STUDENTS and staff at Barrow’s Chetwynde School are celebrating another set of outstanding GCSE results.
With 52% of all passes achieving either A* or A grades and 100% of all students achieving five or more passes at C grade and above, the students have much to feel proud of.
“I am absolutely delighted with the results, which illustrate the hard work and commitment shown by everyone here at Chetwynde and the wonderful level of support our students get from home,” said headmaster Russell Collier.
“These are without doubt one of our strongest ever sets of results, and reinforces our position as a school committed to excellence in academic performance.
“Following on from our record breaking A-level results last week, the GCSE results provide further evidence that we provide our students with the qualifications, skills and confidence to enter the ‘wider world’ and be successful in whatever they choose to do.
“I am also very pleased that the vast majority of our Year 11 students have decided to remain at Chetwynde for their A-level studies.”
