THE University of Cumbria has been graded as good with outstanding features in its latest Ofsted inspection.
“We were delighted to be singled out for our personal touch and for the high quality of the pastoral support we offer our students,” said the dean of the faculty of education, Dr Sam Twiselton.
“It shows how deeply we value each of our students as individuals as we help them to excel as the next generation of teachers.”
Other strengths identified within the report included ‘the strong, determined leadership within the faculty’ and the positive ways in which change is embraced. Dr Twiselton also welcomed the “strong commitment to the University of Cumbria” shown by partnership schools which is also highlighted as a strength.
