AN INGLETON family has been left ‘devastated’ after their 23-year-old son died following a road traffic collision - the second son to be lost in a fatal car crash.
Mechanic Samuel Lishman died after his Ford Focus was in collision with a Vauxhall Vivaro van, on the A683 Melling Road on Tuesday.
He was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
The Lishmans, who own Lishman & sons Plant and Machinery Hire in Ingleton, lost their 17-year-old son in a road accident several years ago.
They were said by a family friend to be ‘devastated’.
She said: “It’s just insane for it to happen to the same family twice. It’s very sad.”
Local barmaid Alice Todd said: “He was always such a happy person.
"He was very friendly and really polite.”
