MORE than £3,000 of potentially dangerous farming chemicals and food supplements have been stolen from an Ulverston farm.
Police investigating the theft warned that the items could be dangerous if consumed.
The burglary took place at Farm Supplies, Unit 7, Auction Market, North Lonsdale Terrace, Ulverston, between 6pm on Wednesday and 8am yesterday.
The offenders broke into the property through a rear window and stole approximately £3,850 worth of chemicals and food supplements.
Cumbria Police officers believe the items are likely to have been stolen to order, but locals are being asked to look out for discarded items.
If such items are found they should be handed to the nearest police station as the chemicals would be dangerous if consumed.
Anyone with information should contact PC Deborah Murray at Ulverston Police Station on: 0845-3300247.
