GRANGE Library stepped back in time with an exhibition based on life during the Second World War which was visited by 750 people.
Entitled Rations and Remembrance, the project was funded by the Extended Services part of Cumbria County Council and involved seven local schools, which participated in projects, covering the Home Front, the house in wartime, gas masks, rationing and life as an evacuee.
Among many activities, a newspaper, Grange 1944, was put together, funded by Neighbourhood Forum, written by schoolchildren and distributed to homes across the Cartmel Peninsula.
