DETECTIVES are asking antique dealers across Cumbria and Lancashire to be vigilant after a haul of antique clocks worth £11,000 were stolen during a Witherslack burglary.
Thieves took six French made clocks, a barometer and walnut and bronze box between August 28 and September 2 2010.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the stolen items – or anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in this area at the time to contact Kendal CID on 0845 33 00 247.
The items taken were a French gilt brass mantle clock, an Ormolu French gilt three piece clock set with silk suspension, a French brass case mantle clock, a stick barometer, a walnut box with inlaid brass, a brass square clock on a brass base, a large gilt spelter clock on a large green marble base.
