HORNBY Ramblers were led by Tony and Valerie Dory on a five-mile walk in the Scorton area.
A party of 11 walked mainly along country lanes as one of the leaders was recovering from a leg injury and had to meet up with them at strategic points by car. Tony and Valerie had set some questions to answer so that the walk was part ‘treasure hunt’.
The ramblers were interested in the raised Scorton Millennium Walk, which offers good views, some across to the river Wyre, and is accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Lunch was enjoyed back at the Barn, which provided a choice of café food or a barbecue.
