JOHN Morris led a party of 13 walkers and two dogs on the first of this year's summer evening walks.
The group set off on the Kentmere Road, crossing Barley Bridge, proceeding up Hall Lane, and passing Scroggs Farm and back to the Kentmere Road.
After crossing Ulthwaite Bridge, they turned south, skirting Browfoot, and returning to Abbey Square, passing Goose Howe and Fellfoot en-route.
New walkers are always welcome.
The walks cover a distance of about four miles and normally leave Abbey Square at 7pm on the last Thursday of the month, from April to September.
