WESTMORLAND and Lonsdale candidate Tim Farron will be a part of history tonight when the first ever presidential-style TV election debate is aired.
The Liberal Democrat will feature in Party People: Election 2010, on ITV1 in the Granada region from 11.35pm, as one of three leading North West MP's alongside Labour's Andy Burnham, health secretary, and Conservative Graham Brady.
The programme, hosted by Rob McLoughlin, will discuss the impact of the live debate, on ITV1 from 8.30pm to 10pm, involving prime minister Gordon Brown, Conservative leader David Cameron and Nick Clegg, Liberal Democrat leader.
Both shows will be filmed at Granada Studios, Manchester.
