THE search is on for the 11th Cumbria Woman of the Year!
The Committee would like to know about women from all over the county who you think deserve to be recognised for their courage, dedication, charity work, sporting or professional success, or any other reason that makes them special.
The Cumbria Woman of the Year Committee also help to raise money for Barnados projects in the county such as Barrows Green, which provides activity holidays for children with special needs, and South Lakeland Family Service, which offers support to parents of children under eight and those living in remote areas.
Funds will be raised for these projects by way of a raffle which will be drawn at the annual lunch at The Wordsworth Hotel, Grasmere on Wednesday November 22, when the winner of Cumbria Woman of the Year 2000 will be announced.
If you wish to nominate friend, neighbour, colleague or relation for Cumbria Woman of the Year, please write for a nomination form to:
Cumbria Woman of the Year, Warwick House, Papcastle, Cockermouth, CA13 0JN
The closing date for nominations is FRIDAY 6th OCTOBER
