DANCE music as it would have been heard in the hotels, clubs and dance halls of 1920s America will drift out over the old grey town this week when Kendal Jazz Club presents The Harmony Hounds.
The group is an entertaining and original four-piece jazz band whose repertoire draws on Bing Crosby, Paul Whiteman, Jimmy Noone and Bix Beiderbecke.
Strong vocals, set to the classic sounds of lively clarinet, saxophone, trumpet and guitar, should keep fingers snapping and toes tapping today, just as they did back in the 1920.
