SINGER, composer and storyteller Helen Chadwick has returned from a field trip to the Racha region of Georgia, with apparently a fantastic range of songs learned from the villagers.
She was accompanied by two Georgian ethnomusicologists, Nino Tsitsishvili and Nano Kalandadze.
Under the name of Bebia they will sing Georgian songs at a candlelit concert in St John's Church, in Cowgill, upper Dentdale, on Friday, September 29 (7.30pm).
Admission is £ 3.
The day before (Thursday, 7.30pm) there will be an opportunity to learn some of their songs at a workshop in the memorial hall, Dent.
