BOOTHS has won the International Wine Challenge 'regional chain of the year' title for the range, quality and value of its wines.
The award follows hot on the heels of the 'Beer supermarket of the year award' which the North West supermarket chain received in May from the British Guild of Beerwriters.
Booths - which has stores in Kendal, Ulverston, Windermere and Carnforth - has also been short-listed for 'Off-licence retailer of the year' award in the 2000 Retail Industry Awards which are expected to be announced soon.
Marketing and IT director for Booths, Chris Dee, said: "It is exciting to see our buyers being recognised nationally for the great job they do across all aspects of our business."
