SHARON Douglas has followed in her fiance's foosteps by becoming a black belt with Kendal Chojinkai Karate Club.
Sharon, aged 29, was awarded her 1st Dan black belt at a grading at the Chojinkai annual summer course at Center Parcs in Nottingham.
Her fiance Lee Wilson, 32, was already a black belt and stepped up to become to a 3rd Dan at the same event.
She is current England national bronze medallist and part of the national women's squad, while he is a national squad coach for the Chojinkai Karate Association.
Both live and work in Kendal and teach classes in the sport at Kendal Leisure Centre along with Kendal's senior instructor Steve Chaplow.
