ENGLAND badminton international Jo Wright, 22, who lives on Valley Drive, in Kendal, achieved the bigggest win of her professional career when she won the ladies doubles at the United States Open Badminton Championships, at Orange County, just outside Los Angeles.
Ranked No 1 seeds, Jo and her Bedford-based playing partner Gail Emms beat fellow English pair Emma Chaffin and Suzanne Wrayappan 15-7, 15-1 in the final.
Jo moved from Southport to live in Kendal last October.
