NEARLY 200 candidates have applied for the job of chief executive at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.
The job entails management of staff and a £5 million budget, being the public face of the authority, managing its performance and reporting to its members.
Interviews take place in early October and the successful candidate should start in the New Year.
Head of finance and resources David Butterworth is acting chief executive.
Former chief executive Heather Hancock has joined year-old economic-regeneration body Yorkshire Forward as executive director for the environment and development.
