POETRY will soon be entering people's lives when they least expect it, thanks to a new scheme designed to bring verse to a wider audience.
Drivers collecting cars from rental firms across the region will find copies of works by contemporary Cumbrian poets placed inside their vehicle.
Car rental firms behind the 'test drive a poem' promotion include Avis in Barrow, Bowness, Carlisle and Kendal, Ford Rent-a-car in Ulverston, and Europcar in Carlisle.
