Heritage hope
ULVERSTON'S Heritage Centre has plans to expand - and change its name.
The Lower Brook Street centre is interested in buying three adjoining courtyard properties when their leases expire in two years' time.
Directors are also looking for a more modern name.
"Heritage centres are 'old hat' now," said director Lionel Horbury.
"Everybody has one.
Museum of Life is one name that has been suggested but it could be anything."
He said the centre was interested in expanding its exhibitions on genealogy - family trees - and local history.
