St Benedicts 43, Ambleside 3
AMBLESIDE travelled to St Benedicts with a weakened side and were beaten by a well-drilled side, whose strong running forwards and backs were difficult to contain.
Some good news for Ambleside was the return after injury of Isaac Benson, who along with fellow flanker Jerry Dobson had big games in both attack and defence.
Ambleside's only points came from a Neil Irwin penalty early in the second half after which they struggled to pose a threat on the St Benedicts line.
Next week Ambleside travel to Millom hopefully with a strong side and a chance to reverse the results of the past two weeks.
