Kendal Town 1, Winsford United 2.
Six minutes into injury time Kevin Langley scored from 22 yards to snatch all three points for Winsford.
Kendal contributed largely to their own downfall, however, with a poor second half performance after starting the game with promise, new recruit from Andy Heald bringing some balance to the wide left.
Kendal broke the deadlock after 17minutes when Phil Brown lifted the ball over the advancing keeper.
Winsford rallied and Clowes missed a golden opportunity, shooting wide from close-range, but made amends almost immediately by turning provider and sending Bermingham away on the left.
He cut inside and shot wide of Price to level the score.
Winsford made the better start of the second half, with Worthington failing to capitalise on a back pass.
Then Lowe broke free and, with the Kendal defence stretched, opted to shoot instead of slipping a pass to Clowes who was unmarked,
In the 53rd minute the determined Heald showed good strength on the ball to ride two tackle before unleashing a powerful shot which went over the bar.
Despite several Kendal's chances it was a very much disjointed second-half performance and Winsford's winner was just about deserved, although the referee appeared to play rather more injury time than was warranted.
