THREE religious objects depicting stations of the cross have been stolen from St George's Church in Kendal.
The reliefs - 40 inches tall and made out of a material which resembles wood - are worth £150 in total.
The Rev Dr Alan Billings said they would be almost worthless in terms of their re-sale value but the church would probably have to replace the full set at an estimated cost of £1,000.
"This has upset members of the church as the stations of the cross are an aid to prayer and devotion," he said.
Anyone with information about the theft or who comes across them should contact Kendal Police on 01539-722611.
