TWO more good wins keep Ibis at the top of the Under 14 League.

The first was a 10-0 over Ambleside, thanks to solid defending by Daniel Croskell and goals by man of the match Terry McLaughlin (3), Joe Baker (3), Sean O'Callaghan, Jack Hawcroft, Richard Melvin and Ryan Mason, his first ever goal for Ibis.

The run continued with the side clocking up a 3-0 victory over Wattsfield United, the first time Ibis have ever beaten a Wattsfield team.

Daniel Croskell was man of the match and Sean O'Callaghan also played a blinder.

Scorers were Jack Hawcroft (2) and Stuart Braithwaite.

Coniston U14s were down to eight men for the visit of Ibis Celtic 14s, who cut their numbers to even up the contest but still ran out 22-0 winners.

Chris Wilson hit six and Graham Coulter five and other goals came from Scott Fraser (3), Brian Ormrod (2), Adam Carradus (2), Patrick Wilson, Lee Gardner, Brett Ashley and an own goal.

In the Under 12 division leaders Ibis were at home to Coniston and hammered in 11 goals, with only one in reply and Stuart Pearce saving a Coniston penalty.

Goals came from James Parrish (5), Matt Campbell (3), Mike Wilson, Dean McNeil and Glen Robinson.

Apologies to James Parrish who got a hat-trick against Ibis last week, but was only credited with scoring one goal.

Ambleside U12s made it five wins out of five with an 8-4 win at home to Appleby U12s, Zach Clark hitting six of them and other goals from Alec Clark and Alan Yurtin.

Heathwaite under 12's maintained their 100% unbeaten record by beating Grange at home 5-3.

Grange went ahead early on in the game but Sam Fletcher pulled it back with an exceptional run from the half way line beating at least half a dozen Grange players before placing it in the back of the net.

Half time saw the score's even at 2-2 the second half saw some lovely football played by both teams with Grange testing Heathwaite's keeper Kieran Sandham to the limits.

But it was Heathwaite who had the strength to win with Sam Fletcher scoring his second and Ryan Thornbarrow also bagging two goals and which saw new boy substitute Jason Lewis scoring one to make it 5-3 to Heathwaite.

In a hard-fought game in the Under 16 league Daniel Muil's Beckham-like goal was consolation for Coniston in their 8-1 defeat by Dallam.

n Wattsfield United Under 14s plan to enter five-day Holland Football Festival, to be held near Amsterdam next May.

Currently the club is seeking donations from local firms towards the £140 cost per child for the trip.
