VIEWS of Windermere and the fells from a popular beauty spot should be restored to how they looked in the Queen's Silver Jubilee year, agreed Windermere parish councillors.
They have held initial talks with South Lakeland District Council about clearing overgrown trees which obscure views at Biskey Howe, Bowness.
Foliage and brambles also make access tricky.
Coun Jennifer Jewell said she would like the view restored to how it was in 1977, when a Rotary Club observation panel was put up at the spot.
Councillors agreed the view recorded on that panel should be restored over several years.
