A SPECIAL discussion evening for farmers in South Lakeland and surrounding areas has been arranged by Barclays Bank and the NFU.
Barclays agricultural banking manager Chris Horsfall said that around 500 invitations had gone out to farmers as well as others involved in the industry including agricultural service specialists, accountants and solicitors.
But he said that anyone interested was welcome to attend.
The theme of this , the ninth meeting of its kind, is "Marketing and Co-operation" and the three featured speakers are: Don Curry, chairman of the Meat and Livestock Commission, Richard Macdonald, director general of the NFU and Richard Lole, technical and policy manager of Barclays bank.
The meeting is at 7.30pm, the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal next Thursday, January 18.
Refreshments will be provided after speeches and questions from the floor.
