KENDAL are in the process of trying to arrange to play the first-ever league match on a Sunday next month.
Frost and snow forced the postponement of the home match against Fylde on Saturday.
It is now set to take place on Sunday, February 4 to avoid clashing with the Wales v England international 24 hours earlier.
Kendal secretary Roger Wilson said:"A clash with an international knocks at least a quarter off our normal gate while playing on a Sunday will probably add a quarter when you consider the players involved in local football and rugby who will be able to come and watch us.
"Fylde are all for the switch and it was at their suggestion we looked at the possibility.
"In our discussions last week, they said they had tried early kick-offs at noon on international days and put up a big screen in the clubhouse to show the match, but it made no difference whatsoever - peopel still stay away.
"As a club we have to think about any financial loss or gain and to play Sunday if we can put out a full-strength side makes sense."
