KENT are still cutting out the pace, 10 points clear of Arnside, at the top of Division 1 in the Kendal Sports Westmorland Badminton League.

Arnside, who have the advantage of a match in hand on the leaders, ran out 15-3 winners over Bowness in the latest batch of matches.

Kent had to be content with a 12-6 victory over Dalton.

Third-placed Branthwaite have dropped 28 points behind the top two after a narrow 10-8 win over Bowness.

In Division 2, second-placed Strickland suffered a blow when losing 13-5 at home to third-placed Hutton Croft.

Leaders Burneside came back to the chasing teams with a 10-8 defeat at Bowness A.

Things remain evenly poised in Division 3 with Sedgwick only seven points ahead of Grange A.

But behind these two, a gap of 18 points has opened to Hutton Croft A.

Heversham A are romping away with Division 4 , while Haversham B and Grange B, the top two in Division 5, both enjoyed wide-margins wins to maintain their title challenges.
