THE Country Landowners Association will now be known as the Country Land and Business Association.
Regional director Jolyon Dodgson said that the new name better reflected what the organisation was all about: "Our members are managers of businesses in the countryside.
Farming is the mainstay of many, but increasingly, CLA members are engaged in a much wider range of rural enterprise and property management."
The initial letters CLA are being retained because after almost 100 years "they are a good brand name," added Mr Dodgson.
