TWO men have appeared before South Lakeland magistrates charged with beating up a father and son in Kendal.
Simon Humphrey, 28, from Park View Lane, Alston, and Stanley William Wood, 34, from High Mill Cottage, Alston, appeared at South Lakeland magistrates court on Tuesday, January 2.
Humphrey was charged with affray and causing grievous bodily harm with intent and Wood with affray and causing actual bodily harm.
All the charges relate to offences against James Bracken and his father Jimmy Bracken who were both doormen at the Nexus bar, formerly Chaplins in Kendal, on the night of December 22.
Neither Humphrey nor Wood entered a plea to the charges and the case was adjourned for committal papers to be drawn up.
The accused will appear again on February 27.
Both men were granted conditional bail.
