STAFF at a Lakeside visitor centre staged a six-and-a-half mile litter pick as a team-building exercise.
Six employees at the Aquarium of the Lakes volunteered to walk from Sawrey to Claife Heights, picking up rubbish as they went.
The centre now plans to make litter-picking excursions a regular part of their training programme.
"They're an excellent way to bring groups of people together and illustrate in a very practical way the dangers of pollution," said aquarium manager Norman Wild.
