THE unique sound of John Martyn is heading north west early next month, and if you want to catch him, now is the time to bag your ticket.
Famed for his ability to bend stylistic rules, and for sailing out of the seventies credibility intact, he is a rare talent worth experiencing live.
John Martyn, originally from Surrey began his musical career at 17 in the world of folk but soon set about breaking down barriers.
His early albums such as Solid Air,1973, have stood the test of time and after 30 years on the scene his lyrics still have the ability to set spines tingling.
John Martyn will play at the Charter Theatre, Preston, on Thursday, February 6, 8 pm.
Tickets cost £ 14.50.
