A HAMPER of local produce is to be presented to HRH Prince Charles on his forthcoming visit to Orton Farmers' Market.
Jane Brook, one of the volunteer co-ordinators, said: "Everyone involved with the market is eagily looking forward to the Royal visit.
We are presenting his Royal Highness with a hamper containing an item from each of our 24 stalls.
Caron Baines who has a craft stall, is very artistically talented, and she is going to prepare the hamper so that is really is fit for a king, or indeed one to come".
Stationary stall holder Jackie Huck, Orton, who is to present the hamper said: "We all know of Prince Charles' support for small-scale producers and organic farmers, and this is a chance to show him the wide range of quality produce available locally".
