THE deadline for completing highway improvements between Roan Edge Quarry, New Hutton, and the A684 has been extended.
RMC Aggregates Ltd asked for the deadline to be extended from December 30, 2000 to April 30, 2001.
Cumbria County Council's development control and regulation committee approved the extension.
RMC Aggregates is amalgamating the old and new Roan Edge quarries, building a new access, moving existing buildings and weighbridge, and carrying out landscaping.
The company wants to do the highway improvements at the same time as constructing internal roadways.
