THE Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole must be well promoted on the internet, say national park authority members.
Coun Gill Cranwell said she believed two-thirds of British Isles residents had computers, and half were connected to the web.
She told the visitor services committee she used the internet daily, and it was now her "first source of information", adding: "Anything that's not on there, I tend to regard as behind, backward, old-fashioned."
Promoting Brockhole on the internet would be a way of attracting more visitors, she said.
The visitor services committee approved the draft management plan, which will now go out to wider consultation.
