THE Stroke Association is holding its first ever Grand Hat Day on March 9, when it hopes people of any age will wear a hat for school, college, work or the shops for a day - and pay for the privilege.
"Grand Hat Day also allows schools to get involved," said John Thorogood, head of regional fundraising, "with children making their own hats, being sponsored to wear their own creations and perhaps having a fundraising fashion show of the best ones."
