RESUMING after the winter break, Glaxo headed down the M6 to Triton on Saturday, where they sought to remedy the club's poor early-season showing in the North-West Men's League.
A changed, but strong Glaxo side with six students in the party suffered an early blow, however, when Triton scored a breakaway goal after 10 minutes.
And Glaxo's hopes were further hit when they went 2-0 down just before half time following a break downfield from a short corner.
After the break, Glaxo looked better organised scored with a move down the right for Tom Sale to evade the defence around the 'D' and slot the ball home.
Glaxo were working hard and it paid off off when Mark Cook was found at the top of the 'D'and slammed home the equaliser with a reverse-stick strike.
In a fast and frantic finish, Triton broke clear of the Glaxo defence to leeave the centre forward with a one-on-one with the keeper and he beat him on the second attempt to give Triton a 3-2 win.
St.
Martin's had a hard-fought game against Windermere on Sunday, with the students taking a 3-1
advantage at half time with goals from Dave Thirsk, Craig Graham and Richard Worsley.
In the second half Windermere produced some wonderful hockey and took the
