FARMING women in South Lakeland will get the chance to learn about which computers and software packages are the best on the market.
Experts from local IT firms will be on hand at the Westmorland Agricultural Society's Lane Farm HQ at Crooklands on January 27 between 10am and 4pm to offer advice on hardware and software.
Jan Nicholson from Cumbria Farm Women projects explained that there had been a lot of interest in computing after the projects first foray into IT: "Farm women were saying to me 'which computer should I buy and what software should I get or how do I upgrade my existing computer', so I thought the thing to do was get local exhibitors all in one room to offer advice and to demonstrate their machines."
