AFTER the thaw came too late to save the widespread postponement of football and rugby fixtures, Kendal RUFC confirmed they are to switch to play one of their fixtures on a Sunday.
Kendal had to postpone their National Division 2 match at home to Camberley on Saturday because of a frostbound Mint Bridge ground.
After two successive defeats against Fylde (17-14) and Newbury (35-12), they now face home-and-away fixtures against bottom-of-the-table West Hartlepool in the next four weeks.
The North-East strugglers are set to visit this weekend (Jan 27) with the return fixture, originally postponed in December, now fixed for Saturday, February 17.
In between, Kendal will host promotion-chasing Rosslyn Park on Saturday, February 10, aiming for a double after beating 29-25 in London at the end of September.
Kendal have confirmed that the Fylde match at home postponed on December 30 will now be played on Sunday, March 4, thus avoiding the Saturday because of the England v Scotland international.
