WESTMORLAND Services, at Tebay, has come in for more praise from national quarters.
Already in food guru Egon Ronay's good books, the Sunday People's Sue Crawford has now mentioned the services in despatches.
She broke a festive journey at Tebay and was suitably impressed by the freshly-made sandwiches delivered by Jill Radcliffe and her team.
Jill also took a starring role in Food & Drink's focus on Westmorland Services last year.
She and her band of butty-makers endure temperatures as low as eight degrees centigrade while they are preparing the sandwiches in order to keep them fresh.
They make anything from six to 10,000 sandwiches a week, every piece of bread buttered by hand.
Mr Ronay described Jill's sandwiches as "Ritz-quality".
