FOR those who favour a spot of Beethoven, Martinu and Gershwin, the Friends of Ruskin's Brantwood are hosting a concert by the Mowbray Ensemble tomorrow (Saturday, 7.30pm) in the Drawing Room of Brantwood.
Formed in 1991, the ensemble is rapidly establishing itself as a major force in the musical life of North Yorkshire and indeed in other parts of the country.
It consists of professional musicians, mostly from the Ripon and Harrogate areas, but also as far away as Leeds, Bradford, York and Sedbergh, performing a wide repertoire of works written for unusual combinations of instruments.
The £10 tickets and include canaps and wine.
