THREE projects which promise to bring the Lake District's past to life have been awarded almost £120,000 from The Heritage Lottery Fund.
The welcome cash boost will help revamp an exhibition centre in one of Cartmel's most historic buildings while a canal bridge, which played a prominent role in Kendal's industrial development, will be restored.
Visitors to a copper mine in Little Langdale will be able to enjoy informative leaflets about the attraction, which will also be the focus of archaeological surveying and strengthening work.
