A CARNFORTH man was airlifted to hospital after being struck by falling ice while climbing in Scotland last Saturday.
David James Jump, 32, a service engineer of Ullswater Crescent, was climbing Creag Meagaidh, near Fort William, with two others when the accident happened.
Mr Jump was taken to Belford Hospital, Fort William, and later transferred to Southern General Hospital, Glasgow, where his condition was yesterday described as "stable."
