THE recently renamed CLA has promised to take the Government to task on a range countryside of issues in the coming year.
The pressure group, which began 2001 with the new title of the County Land and Business Association, has promised to continue to press the Government on issues such as country sports, access issues and the development and implementation of policies in December's Rural White Paper.
National CLA president Anthony Bosanquet said: "We will continue to press for policies which will enable appropriate development and create the right economic climate and rural infrastructure to encourage more jobs.
Only in this way can we rebuild the healthy rural economy and the thriving countryside that we all want to see."
