MARK BOWMAN makes his first appearance in Kendal's starting line-up this season against West Hartlepool at Mint Bridge tomorrow (Sat).
Bowman came on as substitute against Wharfedale and Fylde after missing all last season with groin trouble after returning to the club from Orrell.
He comes in at blindside flanker with Colin Wolstenholme switching to openside.
Openside flanker Nathan Bland - who was due to play for an England Students side - is named on the replacements' bench alongside Craig Wilson and Aaron Myers.
Second-row Keith Robinson is sidelined with a hamstring problem, with Richard Harryman taking his place.
