MORE than 200 neighbourhood watch representatives from groups around the county are to come together in a bid to improve crime-fighting in Cumbria.
They will meet at the Rheged Visitors' Centre, Penrith, for a public meeting to formally launch the Cumbria Neighbourhood Watch Association.
The association will bring greater co-ordination between individual schemes and improve communication and the links between the police and local authorities.
The meeting is to take place on March 31.
